Paul Taylor
Paul served 22 years in the Royal New Zealand Navy as a warfare officer and commanded the frigate Te Mana. On leaving the service he moved to the health industry as the General Manager of a private hospital and general practice before joining AAL as an executive director and shareholder.
Paul has considerable leadership and management experience as well as a thorough understanding of Government procurement processes, particularly for Defence and is currently an executive director.
Kurt Story
Kurt served as a Principal Warfare Officer in the Royal New Zealand Navy for 15 years, highlighted by Command and operational deployments. On retiring, Kurt was a Senior Instructor with Serco NZ delivering maritime and warfare training to the RNZN through using simulation as the training medium.
Kurt joined AAL as the Contracts Manager and brings a wealth of Defence experience and key relationships to the company.
Paul Gilkison
Paul joined the AAL team following a 26-year career with the Royal New Zealand Navy as an Above Water Warfare Officer and Navigation specialist. Highlights of his service include command of the frigates Canterbury and Wellington.
Paul has extensive experience within the Defence and Maritime industries, and a detailed knowledge of maritime simulation systems and is currently a non-executive director.
Tony Cohen
Tony served as a Combat System Specialist in the Royal New Zealand Navy for over 23 years, highlighted by being the commissioning Operations Manager on HMNZS TE KAHA. On retiring, Tony was a WOPRI and the career manager for the Operations Branch.
Tony is AAL’s Operations Manager responsible primarily for the day-to-day provision of operational support and workboat services and has a wealth of Defence and commercial experience.
